Day 8

I was down a total of 5.4 lbs this morning!  Today i woke up late and didnt have time to juice. Still not much hunger today. I was going to run home at lunch so i could make a juice, however, i was in back to back meetings all day and couldnt break away. I had a protein bar for lunch. Then tis evening more errands. Had a bag of pop chips for dinner which is about 300 calories so not nutrious but tastey.

I havnet had and caffine and i am just wired like i had caffine all day. Im not even sure if i will be able to sleep tonight. I really need to. My alarm is set for 5 am so that i can get up, clean prep and juice, get dressed and head to work. Tomorrow is our xmas lunch at a mexican restauraunt. I have no idea what i will eat there. Im thinking another dry salad would be best..... then a doctor apt and hopefully i will hear the results of my colonoscopy. The nurse left a message today asking to call her. By the time i had a chance the office was closed. Booo.

Time to try and get a nap in before the alarm goes off.

Day 6 and 7

The weekend went well. Saturday i was so busy running errands i wasnt hungry at all. Unfortuately, one of those errands was getting more food for juicing. By the time i got home it was late and i was tired and didnt feel like cleaning and prepping and juicing so i had a 460 calorie noodle bowl and called it a night.

On sunday i was much more hungry. The noodle bowl probably had someting to do with it. Also i was much less busy which gave me time to ink about the food i couldnt have. The jack in the box taco cravings were back. I had a juice for breakfast, i made some for lunch... however, it was so tart i got about 3/4 of it down and that was it. Apparently the fruit wasnt ripe. I even added agave to it to make it more palatable... which helped but just not enough.  That was pretty much it for sunday. Nothing too exciting.

Day 5

Down 4.6 lbs since Monday!

The hunger was much less today. I was swamped at work so their were only a couple of times when it was noticable. There were no real cravings. I sucessfully avoided a dessert table with only a bite of my friends cheesecake. I went to dinner with some friend and had a dry salad with salsa on the side. There was cheese and egg and i was totally ok with that. The group also ordered fried onion strips. I had a few too many of those but still less than i normally would have. I had no feelings of deprivation at dinner and i feel the day was a sucess even thoug i ate food. I originally wrote out a nice long blog for this day, however i did something and lost all of it. So im kind of over this day now and dont feel like writing it all over again. :-)

Day 2,3,4

Day 2
Down 3.4 lbs!

Yesterday's BodyBugg numbers for calories burned. There was no exercise, unless you include running to the bathroom every 20 minutes.



This morning started pretty well. I didnt finish all of my lemon, apple and ginger drink last night and I didnt want to throw it out so I froze it hoping that would keep it good and with all the nutrients that were still left by that point. When I got up this morning I added water to it and let it slowly defrost while drinking it. That was a nice treat. I think am going to do that some more. I love water and don't usually like flavored water, but in this situation I'll take what I can get!

for snack/lunch I had 4 roma tomatoes, 2 celery stalks, 1 cucumber, 2 cups of parsely, 1 yellow bell peper.  That was pretty good. However, I am soooo hungry today. Part of it real hunger and part of it head hunger. And today at work, there were donuts, and candy and fucking cupcakes! normally not that big of a deal but when you are hungry and but a self imposed ban on food, you pretty much want to eat everything.

The bathroom issue is much better today, just number 1! Still hungry and criving Jack in the Box Tacos....

Day 3
Today was spent prepping for a colonoscopy. I was hungry and craved Subway 12 in Veggie and Cheese with Mayo!

 Day 4



 Today was the colonoscopy and once i got home I slept most of the day. Still hungry but no craving for anything specific. Although pancakes would have been nice! Right now Denny's is doing holiday pancakes and they just look so nice in the commercials! My boyfriend wouldnt take me after the procedure. He is a terrible at enabling! psssh.  Tomorrow I will try and get back on track with logging my food and maybe i'll exercise! It will depend on if I have any lunch time errands.

Day 1

I have decided to try a 60 day juice fast to try and reduce my weight and fix my liver. Apparently, I'm working on breaking it...Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver and Metabolic Syndrome is what the most recent doctors visit has shown. So.... I bought a juicer last year and thought it would be a good way to get more fruits and veggies in me. I played around with it and liked it however, like most of my new toys, I played with it for a bit and then put it away.  This year has been my heaviest year and in October when I was thinking about using it again I found out that there was a showing of Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. It was pretty interesting and the following week I did 3 days of juicing with smaller amounts of food to eat. That seemed to go well, and then of course, life got in the way and I dropped it again.
On Saturday, I had a fabulous new experience of floating in Epsom Salts for an hour. There is supposed to be healing properties and a detoxification processes. You are supposed to lay there an relax. Well, I'm a water girl and terrible at relaxing so I wound up playing for an hour. hehe.  Along with the fantastic treatment on Saturday, I was reading blog posts about the 60 day reboot and how it would help to heal my liver and drop the weight that I need to drop to reduce my cholesterol and triglycerides.
I am going to collect as much data as I can, I'm a data girl, and on day 61 I will post my weights, blood work, and body measurement changes.  I will use my bodybugg, fitday and a couple of spreadsheets that I have to log all of my data.
This morning I woke up at stupid early o'clock, i don't know why, and spent 2 hours cleaning my kitchen work area, kale, parsley,radishes, tomatoes, apples and a lemon...I'm only halfway done cleaning the produce. :-(  However, there is something relaxing about cleaning my food and prepping it for juicing. I am hoping that feeling sticks around for the next 60 days.
I am using Biokleen Produce Wash. It seems to work well. The water is dirty when i get done washing so that must be a good sign. :-)  i am going to pick up a salad spinner too. i have all my leafy stuff soaking in cold water. i have found in the past that it helps crisp up the veggies. i heard that a salad spinner is good for drying these off just before juicing.
It's 5 am and I'm hungry, however my fasting blood draw isn't until 8:30 am. They say you need to drink the juice as quickly as possible after juicing otherwise all of the nutrients degrade and then you are left with.... well I'm not sure what you are left with at that point... muck maybe?
OK, so I'm not gonna lie after juicing 3 beets plus a variety of other things, my work area did look like a blood bath! I feel like i need to make a Dexter kill room for beets.




While driving to get my blood drawn, i had the biggest craving for a bacon and cheese biscuit. I sooooo want a biscuit right now.

It's mid morning now and i am almost finished with my first 20 oz of my breakfast drink. Protip: Put ice in it. It tastes much better cold. The hunger is better but when someone walks by with food that smells, it immediately triggers me to want to eat something.  I cleared my worked desk of all things food so that is helps. Too bad I forgot that I had just bought a bag of peanut butter trail mix and had it sitting on  my desk for me to see when I walked in.... ugh. i buried it and I'm hoping i forget about it for the next 60 days.

OK... Note: If you intake the amount of beets as shown above, expect the toilet water to be a really pretty hot pink.  I'm just sayin.... :-) And actually that's only after 20 oz of the juice. I was going to have more beets for lunch... think i will switch to another recipe. Any bets as to how long things will stay pink?

I really want some food..... ugh, so hungry and all the food smells are killing me.

It's almost 2pm and i have only had 30 oz of the 40 oz of the above juice left to drink. I'll tell you what, I don't want to finish it. The hunger has settled down a bit now that the lunchtime smells are gone. Don't get me wrong, I'm still hungry but ts not being triggered as much.  I don't have any headaches or dizziness or shakiness so that's good, however the bathroom thing is really getting annoying and I cant wait until the day is over so i can just go home and rest.... I have been up since 1:30am. ick.

It's evening now and the diarrhea has finally slowed. I found a recipe that is supposed to help. It is as follows:

Lemony Apple
- 2 apples
- 1 lemon
- 1? slice of ginger

It's not too bad. I should have used a red apple rather than green and it didn't quite make 20 oz so I filled the rest of the bottle up with water. That took the tart level down.

i was planning on drinking about 1000 more calories today but with the tummy not playing nice I just didn't want to suck anything else down.

I'm still hungry but I'm also sleepy so hopefully i can fall asleep pretty quick once i finish this drink.
